New roofs and full re-covers from Easton Roofing Company come with a 20 year written guarantee. Here is what that means in plain English.
What the guarantee is
In writing
You get a written guarantee document, not a verbal promise. Keep it with your house paperwork; it is useful when you sell.
20 years on new roofs
Our 20 year guarantee applies to new roofs and full re-covers we install. The exact scope is set out on your quote before you agree to anything.
Repairs too
Repairs carry a written guarantee for a period stated on the quote, appropriate to the job and the condition of the surrounding roof.
Twenty years trading
We have been trading for twenty years, and we give guarantees we expect to be here to honour.
What a guarantee can’t sensibly cover
Other people’s work
If someone else later alters or damages the roof, for example fitting an aerial, solar panels or a satellite dish, that work isn’t ours to guarantee.
Parts of the roof we didn’t touch
A repair guarantee covers the repair. If we fixed your back gutter, it doesn’t cover the front slope we never worked on, though we will tell you what we noticed.
Blocked gutters and outlets
Gutters and parapet outlets need clearing. Overflow from blockages is maintenance rather than a defect.
